The Platform

Consumer / User / Owner

Pabulo is built with customizable features and operations that suites your business needs and wants, keeping it simple for businesses to go to market without needing a specialized training in understanding the platform.

A Consumer is a logical place holder, used to identify (login) to the platform with single unique email, the consumer will use this verified email to perform all operations in the platform. A consumer may be an owner of one or more Facilities (restaurants, home kitchens, Charity Organizations, Delivery Services etc.).

Facility / Merchant / Shop / Charity

Facility: a physical place where the business entity is registered, as per the local / regional government declaration, i.e., Business Registration / Tax Declaration etc.

💡Facility must be approved by business operation(s) in order to transact on the platform.

🎗️Charity - Facility that is classified as a Charity can perform additional functions:

  • Can create events.

  • Can create advertisements.

  • Can offer rewards.

  • Can participate in donation(s) of items / recipes etc.

  • Can create items / recipes / items for offer.

  • Can create rates / services for offer.

  • Can create customized loyalty program(s).

  • Can create fundraisers.

  • Can accept wallet-to-wallet donations.

  • Can cover donation transaction fees on behalf of recipients.

  • Can issue donation certification(s) for tax purpose.

Functions / Operations:

Wallets / Financial Transactions

Wallets are cash accounts that maintain cash balances and transaction accounting through out the platform. This includes, donations, purchases, withdrawals, top-ups etc.

💰 Wallets are multi-currency, i.e., all wallets support currencies that are configured for the platform at a given time.

There are two categories of wallets:

Consumer / User Wallet: This wallet is considered as the personal wallet, that allows to perform day-to-day operations like bill payments, top-ups, donations etc.

Facility / Merchant Wallets: These wallets are special wallets that allow a merchant to collect bills and payments from the consumers or users. These wallets allow Withdrawal requests, where the facility can withdraw (transfer) wallet money to there personal bank(s) out of the system.

If this facility is classified as Charity, then these wallets can participate in the auto-charge for transaction fees for donation recipients.

Default Charity

Within the system, you can designate one or more default charities, that the system can refer to for auto operations, e.g. When a facility wants to donate item(s), one of the default charity will be associated with this donation, if the facility does not have a specific charity they want to donate it through.

✋Donations cannot be made directly by a facility without a qualified charity associated with the donation.

Loyalty

Business rules, to offer loyalty points to customers based on the interaction with the platform or with a facility.

There are 2 types of loyalties:

  1. Default Loyalty: This is the platform specific loyalty rules that are offered as your program. Default loyalty is the main loyalty program that gives you the ability to run a loyalty program that is independent of any facility / merchant. If your business model is just to offer loyalty program, then in your installation you will only have default loyalty program.

  2. Facility Loyalties: Every facility / merchant / charity can have any number of loyalties on offer to the customers. Rules are only applied when the customer is interacting with that specific facility. e.g., Scanning a Visit QR Code of that facility.

Loyalty Rules

Rules are categorized as follows:

Visit Rule: Points calculation based on visiting a facility or checking into a location (tagging, check-in etc.).

Referral Rule: Points calculation for referring a facility / merchant or referring your program to friends. This is like friends inviting friends to either visit a facility or become a member of your program.

💡Visit points can be earned by easily creating the facility / merchant Loyalty Visit QR Code and displaying this QR Code at the facility / merchant premises.

Review Rule: Points to give when a customer writes a review about a facility / merchant and this review is approved by business operations.

Feed Rule: Points to offer for each type of feed(s) the customer claims using the Feed QR Code.

Spend Rule: These rules are based on currency the customer spends at a facility / merchant.

  1. Rule 1: US Dollars, offer 10 points for a minimum spend of $5, and 3 points for every $2 spend on top.

  2. Rule 2: EUR, offer 15 points for a minimum spend of €10 and 5 points for every €5 spend on top.

Care Rule: Points awarded for donation or donating items and cash donated to a charity. The cash donation rule is identical to the spend rule, except the customer is transferring cash from his wallet to the charity wallet.

Reward Tire Rule: This rule is more for the classification of the customer based on the points accumulated. e.g.:

  • 0 - 500 Points classify as Bronze Customer

  • 501 - 2000 Points classify as Silver Customer

  • 2001 - 999999 Points classify as Gold Customer

The Feed

A feed is a way for the Facility / Merchant / Charity to conduct business on the platform.

✋All feed types must be configured using the Admin Portal, for a facility / merchant or charity in order to participate in that business flow. So, if Merchant A is configured for Events & Rewards, Merchant A will not be able to create Advertisements.

Events

Event, planned activity at a specific date/time and at a specific place.

A facility / merchant or Charity can create a event, that is either paid or free depending on the the event type. All event(s) have the option to be booked (reserved) by user(s) in order to get a unique QR Code to be presented at the time of the event to get admitted.

💡Loyalty points are allocated to event(s) spend if this is a paid event, or attendance depending on the loyalty configuration rules.

Rewards

Rewards are on the spot promotions or offers that a merchant wants to offer there patrons without needing to create or participate in a full loyalty program. e.g.; Buy 10 beers and get 1 free.

Rewards do not track items unlike Loyalty Catalog items, these are purely promotional items that is managed, decided and offered by facilities / merchants or charity.

Advertisements

Advertisements are pieces of information the facility / merchant or charity can publish on the platform. These type of feeds are informational only, and do not have any connectivity to loyalty programs.

Fundraisers

Fundraisers are feeds that allow a Charity to raise fund(s) for a specific cause. All users on the platform can donate fund(s) towards that fundraiser.

💡 All feed(s) come with data tracking meta data, cash accounting, point accounting, email notification, push notification for mobile devices.

Admin Portal

The platform comes with a fully functional back-office administration portal to give you the operational capabilities on the get-go.

🔐Any user(s) can be promoted to a Administrator Role who have successfully created and verified OTP on the platform.

👤Default user is Platform Administrator who has all the rights to get you started. ☢️It is advisable to change this user & password upon installation.

💪Roles are capabilities assigned to a user to enable them to perform specific types of admin operations.

⛔ The platform does not allow operations to be performed on self login, e.g., if you are logged in as User A then you cannot grant or remove roles for User A.

Types of Roles
User Management
  • Enable / Disable User(s) on the platform.

  • Add / Remove Roles from another user.

⛔User(s) can only be created through the "Sign In" workflow, operations can only:

  • Enable a inactive user account.

  • Disable a active user account.

Facility Management
  • Approve a Facility

  • Link to consumer

⛔ Facility / Merchant / Charity can only be created through the "Create Facility" workflow, operations can only:

  • Activate - Enable the facility to participate in the platform wide features and function.

  • Configure Metadata viz:

    • Are referrals allowed?

    • Are reviews allowed?

    • Is this facility featured in the TOP Filter?

    • Is this facility a certified charity?

    • Is this facility a Default Charity?

    • Does this facility (charity) cover platform matching fees?

    • Does this facility (charity) allow or take cash donations?

  • Feed Types Configuration:

    • Is this facility allowed to publish Events?

    • Is this facility allowed to publish Rewards?

    • Is this facility allowed to publish Advertisements?

    • Is this facility allowed to create and run fundraisers?

Review Management
  • Approve / Reject user reviews for a facility / merchant or charity.

⛔User reviews for a facility goes through two stages before this review is visible on the platform under that facility.

  1. The platform AI will run a Sentiment Analysis on the review text and classify the over sentiment value, with a Positive / Negative & Neutral Score.

  2. After this has completed, this review will then be visible to the Operations where a human can then decide on final score (stars) and to publish it on the platform or reject.

Feed Management
  • Approve / Reject a facility / merchant of charity feed.

💡All created feeds i.e., Events, Rewards, Fundraisers, Advertisement have the option to be approved before they are visible on the platform. There two settings that control this behavior,

  • System wide in the configuration: If the configuration has Auto Approval Enabled then all facilities feeds are auto approved.

  • Individual Facility level: If the configuration for a facility is not to auto approve, then feeds have to be manually approved. System wide configuration takes the highest precedence.

Loyalty Management

Primary (Default) loyalty program is the main loyalty program that is not associated with any facility. All the rules of a primary loyalty program are applied to all facilities / merchants / charity. Only 1 primary loyalty program per instant (installation) can be enabled.

Redemption Catalog Management
  • Add catalog item to primary loyalty program

  • Add catalog item to facility loyalty program

The platform distinguishes between redemption items that belong to the primary loyalty program, and items that belong to a facility loyalty program.

Items that belong to a facility loyalty program can only be redeemed with points that are acquired at the facility only.
